Job Description

STM Trucks & Machinery is a family owned & operated business that has been operating for almost 50 years. We have 3 locations in Southwest Sydney, Wollongong & Canberra.

We provide new & used sales for commercial vehicles and construction equipment, along with service, spare parts and finance for a wide range of clients in transport, warehousing, construction, infrastructure, civil works, waste management and government bodies.

STM Trucks & Machinery (Daimler Trucks South Coast) is now the authorised dealer for Mercedes-Benz & Freightliner Trucks, and an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Sales Consultant to join our growing Unanderra branch. The position is on a full-time basis with a competitive remuneration package.

Key Requirements

  • Previous sales experience and achievements within the heavy vehicle industry
  • Develop and foster strong customer relationships
  • Motivated and competitive; driven to achieve
  • Ability to learn and acquire product knowledge
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Great written and oral communication skills
  • A keen eye for the finer details
  • Proficiency in Excel, Outlook and Word
  • HR/HC Truck Licence is required

 

Your duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop a sales strategy and apply it to market
  • Attend and engage is sales and product training sessions
  • Perform customer vehicle demonstrations
  • Prospecting of potential new and repeat sales opportunities
  • Meet and maintain market share and sale volume KPI’s
  • Engage in product marketing, trade expos, customer events etc.
  • Diligence and organisation in maintaining CRM database
  • Work in tandem with our business managers to ensure customers finance options and requirements are communicated and met
